 I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I have always been a very active person but no matter what, I was always heavy.  VIP Fitness Training has been part of a life changing experience for me… Four and a half months ago, I told Mike Sartorius, I was going to lose over 100 pounds. I was already very motivated and strictly limiting my food and portions, but I knew I needed a lot of exercise to go along with that. At an overweight, sedentary age 59, I was afraid I would injure myself and

derail my weight loss goal. If Mike was skeptical, he didn’t show it. I really wanted to do this, but I hate exercise and sweating and huffing and puffing.

After evaluating my very limited athletic ability, we set up a schedule that was easy for me to work with. Two days with Adam and one with Mike every week. VIP’s nutrition professional suggested some changes that helped me actually eat a little more, get more from my workouts and keep losing weight.

The first week, after barely working out, I went home and took a lot of Tylenol—because I didn’t have anything stronger—and the heating pad became my best friend. I had pulled a muscle before going to VIP, and I drew heavily on Mike’s physical therapist training; he showed me several stretches that would help—and they have. Each progressive week got a little easier and I could do a little more—with less Tylenol.

VIP’s unique method of constantly changing the regimen keeps it fun and interesting, while working my entire body. Workouts even target agility and coordination; areas I was surprised to learn had really deteriorated.

Some days, I’m sure that Adam is trying to see how much he can make me hate him…But every time I get on the scale and see another pound disappear, or feel my clothes getting looser, I love him more! Even when the scales stubbornly don’t move, I can feel the positive benefits.

My relationship with my personal trainer is more intimate than with my doctor. Three times a week, a VIP trainer works with me, one on one, for an hour.
