I'm 19. 5'8''. 125 lbs. I want to lose about 5 pounds and simply tone up my body. (I don't think I have an ounce of muscle on my body, ha!) I started eating healthy and working out about 2 weeks ago. However, by bedtime I feel very fatigued and am beginning to wonder if I'm partially starving myself. I don't think I quite understand the process correctly.. . I've loaded up on healthy foods, and they're all I eat. And this results in me eating 3 meals and 2 snacks a day which end up to be between 1,000-1,200 calories a day. & about 30-35% fat.. . I do at least 1 hour of cardio everyday (& no more than 1 hour and 45 min daily). And I do some type of strength with that for at least 20 minutes a day (no more than 45 minutes daily) Ex: ab workouts, pilates, lifting.. . Bottom line. Am I eating and working out in a way that will effectively help me lose weight and tone? Or am I not eating enough? If I'm not.. then what do I eat!? I'm on a healthy diet which fills me up but I have a feeling 1000 calories just isn't enough for my body!. . I'm not exactly skinny. I know 125 sounds skinny for 5'8'' but the problem is that all the weight is fat (in my thighs, butt, stomach, and arms). I don't have much muscle weight. So inevitably I wouldn't so much like to just lose the 5 pounds.. but replace 5-10 pounds of fat with muscle weight & just tone up..
